Their largest pre-designed home is a 960 square foot, 2-story home that is built using three, 40’ containers. While all homes can be personalized to meet client needs, homes come standard with upgraded finishes such as Anderson Windows and granite countertops. Their homes can be fitted either with a mini-split or forced air HVAC system.
Logistically, Container Homes USA has the ability to offer turn-key construction services for projects located nearby to their Cleveland headquarters. For local projects, they act as the general contractor and manage local work and trades needed to complete the home on-site. For out-of-state projects, Container Homes USA acts as the project manager and is able to help clients pull permits and find local labor.
Container Homes USA has its own manufacturing facility where they are able to convert used shipping containers into residential or commercial modules. There they are able to build the modules up to 75% complete which includes interior framing, insulation, windows and doors, and roughed-in utilities. Once homes arrive on site and are approved by a local building inspector, drywall can be hung and remaining interior finishes can be completed. For larger commercial projects, they partner with an overseas manufacturer who assists on projects larger than 25 containers. From start to finish, typical projects take around 9 months to complete
