GO Home by GO Logic Review
GO Home by GO Logic is a Maine based prefab and modular architect and builder. They make homes that stand out for adhering to environmentally friendly passive house standards and for their New England farmhouse aesthetic. The passive house standards mean that GO Home’s houses are 80% more energy efficient compared to standard code compliant construction.
GO Home is an offshoot of the work done by Maine architecture and construction firm GO Logic. If you are in Maine, GO Home will take care of on-site construction of the house as well the modular construction. If you’re outside of Maine, GO Logic will still complete the modular construction of the house and install it on site, but the rest of the on-site construction will be left to a local contractor. Either way, GO Home projects are typically completed 9 months after the construction contract is signed.
Strengths:
Energy efficient and environmentally friendly
Good value - the Maine all-in price of <$250 per sqft is inexpensive compared other prefab builders
Aeshetics - charming modern farmhouse feel
They might not be a fit for you if:
You are located very far from Maine and New England
You are on a small urban lot as the design is oriented towards lots with some space
