Modern Empathy handles the entire build process from design to installation however, this limits their operating area to the San Francisco Bay Area. The process begins with their team visiting the build site and working closely with buyers to create a design, usually completed in 14 to 60 days. After the design and permitting stages are completed, a local SF Bay Area contractor prepares the site as home modules go into construction. Finished modules are then shipped to the build site and set on a slab, grid, or raised foundation, often by crane. Modern Empathy’s team oversees the installation and any remaining site work like utility hookups. Homes can be permitted and installed in as fast as 12 weeks. The entire process, from design to move in, usually takes about 6 months.
