Nationwide Homes is a modular home builder based in Martinsville, VA with 60+ years of experience. They offer over 140 models, with standard floor plans ranging from 825 square feet to 3,617 square feet. Nationwide builds modular homes in a variety of styles including ranch, colonial, cape cod, and even contemporary. All models are fully customizable, including the floor plan, architectural design, interiors, and finishes. While vinyl siding is standard, exteriors can also feature cement board, brick, rock, split log, and stucco. Roof shingles also come standard, but a seam metal roof can be installed instead on-site. Homes come with a wide variety of interior options, including hardwood floors, carpeting, solid surface countertops, cabinets, plumbing fixtures, and more. 

While nationwide has over a hundred off-the-shelf models, they can work with buyers to design custom homes as well. Once buyers have settled on a design, home modules are manufactured in Nationwide’s Martinsville, Virginia factory, usually in 3-5 months. Homes arrive up to 90% complete at the build site, where they are set on a permanent foundation via crane. It is worth noting that Nationwide does not sell directly to consumers but rather sell to independent builders. This means that they do not handle site work themselves or directly work with customers in the planning process. Homebuyers must work with a local builder or general contractor that is part of Nationwide’s builder network, who buys the home from Nationwide and handles all site work. As such, the buyer’s contract will be  with the local contractor and as such final cost and contract conditions can vary from project to project. All homes come with a 1-year structural warranty, but 2-10 year warranties can usually be purchased from the third-party Nationwide builder.
